"Lilium & Sono Motors: Building hardware in Germany - successes and learnings from the founders"
🌐 Language: English
♿ Wheel-chair accessible
🎟️ Hosted by: Ananda Ventures, Better Ventures, Carbon13, GET Fund, Sandwater, and 1Komma5.
Join us for the fourth edition of Next Level of Climate Tech — this time as part of Munich Climate Week.
Over an easy breakfast, we bring together founders, investors, operators and corporate leaders from across the climate-tech ecosystem for an honest conversation about building ambitious companies in complex markets.
This edition brings together Laurin Hahn (co-founder of Sono Motors) and Matthias Meiner (co-founder of Lilium) for an honest conversation on stage.
Sono Motors and Lilium: two hardware and deep-tech companies out of Munich, both set out to fundamentally change mobility. Different paths to capital—one built a community, the other had top-tier investors on board. Both ended up going public on NASDAQ, peaked at valuations >€3BN, yet both ultimately went insolvent.
The parallels are striking, and they say a lot about the European startup ecosystem during the last 10 years. We will talk about their journeys, how the companies performed, and also how the founders fared. And what we all can learn from it.
Expect plenty of time for coffee, breakfast, and conversation with people from Munich's and Europe's climate-tech community.
Next Level of Climate Tech is an event series by Ananda Ventures, better ventures, Carbon13, GET Fund and Sandwater, bringing together the people shaping the next generation of climate technology. This episode is hosted by 1Komma5.
We look forward to welcoming you.
