Innovation is a key to a liveable future. How & where does the transformation towards a sustainable and liveable future and real impact come to life?

This interactive session explores climate innovation across different types – from entrepreneurial ideas and bottom-up innovation processes to European Research Development & Innovation projects and mission-oriented transformation programmes such as Horizon and Just Transition Fund.

In the session, we explore human-centred, system-oriented strategies and tools for innovation. To get hands-on, we will apply these approaches to example challenges from the nexus of energy and the built environment in Munich through a short hands-on methodology teaser of the UNLEASH Innovation Methodology.

Finally: the session opens the floor for an informal exchange and networking around two central questions:

Where does transformative climate innovation happen? How can grassroots entrepreneurship, research, large-scale transformation programmes and international collaboration reinforce each other?

The event brings together perspectives from startup and innovation ecosystems, European research and development, international cooperation and sustainability transformation.
With limited participation, the session is designed to enable meaningful exchange and new connections.
