Sustainable Construction from Design to Delivery

🌐 Language: English
♿ Wheel-chair accessible
💶 Event free of charge
We have more sustainability targets, certifications and environmental data than ever before. But when a building is actually designed, renovated or specified, what makes the biggest difference?
Join us at Emidat for a conversation about how sustainability ambitions translate into real decisions in the built environment, from choosing materials and understanding their environmental impact to reusing existing buildings and designing for longer lifespans.
Joining the conversation are:
- Sebastian Bildau, design architect, urban planner and timber construction expert with experience in life cycle assessment, embodied carbon and building materials.
- Prof. Bettina-Maria Müller, whose work explores adaptive reuse, circular architecture and digital approaches to building design.
- Jona Roßmann, from Emidat, bringing the perspective of environmental product data and how information from manufacturers can better support design and decision-making.
Together, we’ll look at what actually shapes decisions in real projects: where environmental data helps, where it still falls short, how tools such as EPDs and Digital Product Passports can support better choices, and what architects, engineers and manufacturers need from each other in practice.
Expect inputs from our speakers, followed by an open moderated discussion and audience Q&A, with drinks and snacks.
Whether you work in architecture, engineering, construction, materials or sustainability, or are simply curious about how buildings are designed, we’d love to have you join us.
