Managing Risk at the Wiesn: Four Uncomfortable Questions Beneath the World’s Largest Festival

This event is hosted by EY as part of Munich Climate Week (MCW) 🌍🌱
What is this event about?
A cross-sector discussion bringing together perspectives from business, policymakers, researchers and sustainability leaders to explore how climate change, nature dependency, geopolitical disruption and the cost of sustainability are reshaping one of Germany’s most iconic events. Building on the findings of the EY-Parthenon Wiesn Special Study 2026, the conversation will examine how risks that are often perceived as isolated environmental or operational issues are increasingly becoming material business challenges. Topics include climate resilience, supply chain vulnerability, biodiversity impacts, workforce resilience and the economics of sustainable transformation. The session will explore how organizations can move from awareness to action by quantifying emerging risks, identifying hidden costs and building practical resilience in an increasingly uncertain world.
