Experiencing the Rwanda Riparian Restoration Project
Language: English
Not Wheelchair Accessible
In April, we took our client BRUGG to a climate project they have been supporting: The Rwanda Riparian Restoration Project. The project restores degraded land by planting 1,000 ha of giant clumping bamboo along riverbanks. The bamboo stabilises soil, prevents erosion, and protects farmland while creating local jobs and working closely with farming communities.
In this panel you will hear firsthand what moments stood out, how the project works, and what impact it makes on climate and community. This talk is accompanied by stunning photographs taken on site, so that you feel as though you have been there yourself.
After the presentation, lunch will be available.
